Perfumes

The Luxury Yard's perfumes are forty-four non-alcoholic, oil-based compositions made in Mumbai and sold in 10ml, 30ml, 50ml and 100ml. Because they are oil rather than alcohol, they are worn directly on the skin and open quietly instead of announcing themselves and fading. Two gift sets sit alongside them: six 2.5ml miniatures for trying the house, and four 20ml bottles boxed as two couple sets.

The house has made fragrance this way since 1990. An oil-based perfume behaves differently from a spray: less projection in the first ten minutes, considerably more of it at hour six, and a scent that ends up smelling of the person wearing it rather than of the bottle.
