Wisteria is a gold-tone ring whose band splits into two strands that weave across the top of the finger, set alternately with lilac and clear stones so the two ribbons can be told apart. The weave is the whole face of the ring; there is no centre stone. Best worn for daytime and easy evenings.

Put it on last
After perfume, lotion and hairspray have dried. Alcohol and oils are what dull a plated finish faster than anything else.

Take it off first
Before you sleep, shower, swim or exercise. Chlorine, salt water and sweat are all harder on a finish than ordinary daily wear.

Wipe it down after wearing
A dry, soft cloth removes the skin oils that cause tarnish. No chemical cleaners and no ultrasonic baths on plated or stone-set pieces.

The story
About Wisteria
A woven ring only works if you can follow each strand, and colour is what does it here — one ribbon runs lilac, one runs clear, and where they cross you can see which passes over. Doing it with two textures instead would have been quieter and much harder to read at arm's length.
The lilac is pale, closer to a wash than a jewel colour, which is what keeps this on the daytime side. It is a wide ring but a light one: the strands are set on edge rather than flat, so the band is deep from above and narrow against the finger.
