Put it on last
After perfume, lotion and hairspray have dried. Alcohol and oils are what dull a plated finish faster than anything else.

Before you sleep, shower, swim or exercise. Chlorine, salt water and sweat are all harder on a finish than ordinary daily wear.

The story
About Verona
A figaro is a curb chain with its rhythm broken on purpose: three short links, then one stretched long, repeating. The eye reads the interruption as a pattern, which is why a figaro looks designed where a plain curb looks structural.
Setting the long links in a contrasting finish makes that pattern explicit instead of leaving it to the light — you can see the sequence across a room. It is the most decorative of the plain-chain shapes here and the one that most looks like a piece of jewellery rather than a chain.
