Put it on last
After perfume, lotion and hairspray have dried. Alcohol and oils are what dull a plated finish faster than anything else.

Take it off first
Before you sleep, shower, swim or exercise. Chlorine, salt water and sweat are all harder on a finish than ordinary daily wear.

Wipe it down after wearing
A dry, soft cloth removes the skin oils that cause tarnish. No chemical cleaners and no ultrasonic baths on plated or stone-set pieces.

The story
About Orbit
A ball chain has no flat faces at all, which changes how it behaves in light: instead of flashing when the angle is right and going dark when it is not, every bead holds a small highlight from wherever the light happens to be. The result is a chain that stays visible in a room rather than only under a lamp.
The beads are close-set and uniform, so it sits with a slight weight and follows the line of the throat rather than standing away from it. It suits a bare neckline and does not want company — layered against a flat chain the two textures argue.
