Put it on last
After perfume, lotion and hairspray have dried. Alcohol and oils are what dull a plated finish faster than anything else.

The story
About Milan
Milanese mesh is a dense weave of tiny interlocked links that drapes like cloth rather than articulating like a chain, and it is the reason this bracelet sits flat against the wrist and does not catch. The plate breaks it in the middle the way a watch case would, which is deliberate — this is a bracelet for the wrist that is not wearing the watch.
The inset in the plate is a fine woven texture in dark grey, framed by brushed metal, with two short hinged links either side that echo a strap's end pieces. It fastens with a fold-over clasp hidden in the mesh. Understated enough for an office, and the piece in this line most likely to be worn every day for years.
