Colonnade is a hinged gold-tone bangle whose whole surface is white enamel, laid in broad panels and divided by raised gold ribs that run over the curve like a row of columns. It is a single wide cuff rather than a set, and one of the few pieces here that reads as modern jewellery rather than traditional. Best worn on its own, against plain colour.

Put it on last
After perfume, lotion and hairspray have dried. Alcohol and oils are what dull a plated finish faster than anything else.

Take it off first
Before you sleep, shower, swim or exercise. Chlorine, salt water and sweat are all harder on a finish than ordinary daily wear.

Wipe it down after wearing
A dry, soft cloth removes the skin oils that cause tarnish. No chemical cleaners and no ultrasonic baths on plated or stone-set pieces.

The story
About Colonnade
The enamel is the surface, not a decoration on one. Each white panel is filled flush and polished level with the gold ribs between it, so the bangle catches light in bands rather than sparkling — a quieter effect than stones, and one that survives being knocked about far better.
Because it is hinged it opens rather than passing over the hand, which is what lets it be this wide and still fit closely. Wear it alone: the ribbing gives it enough rhythm that a second bangle beside it only muddles the line.
