Put it on last
After perfume, lotion and hairspray have dried. Alcohol and oils are what dull a plated finish faster than anything else.

Take it off first
Before you sleep, shower, swim or exercise. Chlorine, salt water and sweat are all harder on a finish than ordinary daily wear.

Wipe it down after wearing
A dry, soft cloth removes the skin oils that cause tarnish. No chemical cleaners and no ultrasonic baths on plated or stone-set pieces.

The story
About Cobalt
The whole ring is a contrast of finishes. The silver-tone stripes are brushed, so they hold a soft even light with no highlight; the blue grooves are polished to a mirror and sit below them, so they read as dark lines until the hand turns and they flash. Two textures doing what colour usually does.
It is the plainest thing in the ring line and the only one with no stones, which makes it the one most likely to be worn by someone who does not wear jewellery. The band is flat rather than domed and the edges are eased, so it sits square on the finger and does not roll.
