Put it on last
After perfume, lotion and hairspray have dried. Alcohol and oils are what dull a plated finish faster than anything else.

Take it off first
Before you sleep, shower, swim or exercise. Chlorine, salt water and sweat are all harder on a finish than ordinary daily wear.

Wipe it down after wearing
A dry, soft cloth removes the skin oils that cause tarnish. No chemical cleaners and no ultrasonic baths on plated or stone-set pieces.

The story
About Bolt
The links are the design: each is a rounded rectangle, brushed across the top so it holds a soft light and polished along its edges so it flashes when it moves, and they are pinned to one another rather than looped, so the chain is rigid across its width and flexible along its length.
The plate is the one place the bracelet says anything. Its centre is a knurled inset — the diamond cross-hatch of a tool grip — held between two brushed end caps with screw heads, which is the whole vocabulary of the piece: engineered rather than decorated. It fastens with a fold-over clasp that disappears into the links.
