Bandhan is a gold-tone ring built from two bands that cross over the top of the finger — one channel-set with baguettes, one filled with pale pink enamel — meeting beneath a radiant-cut clear centre stone. Bandhan is the Hindi word for a tie or a binding. Best worn as an engagement ring or for receptions.

Put it on last
After perfume, lotion and hairspray have dried. Alcohol and oils are what dull a plated finish faster than anything else.

Take it off first
Before you sleep, shower, swim or exercise. Chlorine, salt water and sweat are all harder on a finish than ordinary daily wear.

Wipe it down after wearing
A dry, soft cloth removes the skin oils that cause tarnish. No chemical cleaners and no ultrasonic baths on plated or stone-set pieces.

The story
About Bandhan
The two bands are told apart by material rather than by shape: one carries a row of small rectangular baguettes, the other a smooth run of pale pink enamel, and where they cross the pink passes under the stones. That is the moment the ring is designed around, and it is why the crossing sits on top of the finger rather than at the side.
The centre stone is a radiant cut — a rectangle with cropped corners and brilliant faceting — which gives a squared-off outline the sparkle of a round. It is held in four claws above the crossing so it bridges both bands, which is the literal version of the name.
